Questcorp Mining, Inc. ( (TSE:QQQ) ) has shared an announcement.
Questcorp Mining and Riverside Resources have reported a new discovery of potential Carlin-like, sediment-hosted gold mineralization at the Luis Hill target within the La Union Project in Sonora, Mexico, highlighted by a 42-metre intersection grading 0.3 g/t gold in black shales and carbonate rocks— a style of mineralization not previously recognized at the project. The initial H2 2025 drill campaign completed 12 core holes totaling more than 1,600 metres across six targets, including the past-producing Union and Famosa mines as well as Cobre, Luis Hill, and Famosa EM, with over 700 core samples pending assay results; early drilling at Luis Hill and Famosa suggests the presence of a broader carbonate-hosted metal system, reinforcing the exploration potential along strike and positioning 2026 as a potentially pivotal year for advancing the Union Project within the Sonora Gold Belt.
