Quebec Silica Resources Corp. ( (TSE:QIMC) ) has provided an announcement.
Québec Innovative Materials Corp. has reported results from a November 2025 soil-gas geochemical survey over its New Salem zone in the Cumberland Basin, Nova Scotia. The work is part of its broader push to define new hydrocarbon and helium targets within its exploration licenses in the region.
The survey identified a continuous 450-metre methane-rich anomaly within a 1.5-kilometre traverse, accompanied by elevated ethane, propane and butane levels that point to a possible thermogenic source. Helium concentrations above atmospheric background at all 28 sample stations, independently verified by GeoFrontiers using gas chromatography, bolster the case for a deeper geological source and support advancing the New Salem zone toward further geochemical, geophysical and drill-target work.
