Quebec Silica Resources Corp. ( (TSE:QIMC) ) has shared an update.
Québec Innovative Materials Corp. reported that drill hole 26-02 in its hydrogen exploration program has encountered multiple shallow hydrogen-bearing zones from near surface to 500 metres, many linked to major fault structures and defined across six distinct geochemical domains. Preliminary measurements show peak hydrogen concentrations above 1,000 ppmV in certain intervals, with hydrogen anomalies strongly associated with structurally deformed zones interpreted as key fluid migration pathways.
Based on these results, QIMC will extend drill hole 26-02 to about 700 metres, as the hydrogen system is considered open at depth, and has already mobilized a rig for Hole 3 while integrating data from Holes 1 and 2. The company has also completed downhole geophysical and petrophysical surveys, which are expected to refine models of permeability, fluid pathways, and subsurface conditions, potentially strengthening its technical case and positioning in the emerging natural hydrogen sector.
