Pyrum Innovations AG and tank farm operator UNITANK, via their joint venture UniPyrum, have signed an engineering and consulting contract to develop their first joint recycling plant at UNITANK’s Emleben site in Thuringia, marking the start of the project’s approval and basic engineering phase and securing a first high six‑figure euro order for Pyrum. The Emleben facility will be the first of five to ten planned UniPyrum locations in Germany and across Europe, each initially designed with at least three thermolysis reactors capable of recycling around 22,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres annually; the joint venture has begun strategy work, secured initial funding to scout further sites, and plans to hire specialists to accelerate permitting and rollout, underscoring Pyrum’s growth strategy and the scaling of its recycling technology within Europe’s critical infrastructure network.
