Pure Resources Limited ( (AU:PR1) ) has provided an update.
Pure Resources has reported that carbon nanotube fibre developed under its collaboration with Rice University has achieved thermal conductivity of up to about 600 W/m·K, surpassing both copper and aluminium, the incumbent materials used in most industrial and electronics cooling systems. The fibre maintains this performance in a flexible, textile-processable form, enabling woven and braided 3D thermal architectures that conventional rigid metals cannot match.
The company sees this as a step change for managing heat in AI data centres, defence applications and high-power electronics, where rising power density is straining existing cooling technologies. Pure has begun early engagement with hyperscale data centre operators, defence primes and advanced electronics manufacturers on jointly funded development and prototype testing, while also pursuing U.S. government funding programs, setting up a structured value pathway as it releases further performance data on CNTF-based systems.
