Pure Resources has expanded its collaboration with Rice University to develop carbon nanotube fibre-based thermal management systems using graphite from its Garnet Hills project. The program is led by renowned carbon nanotechnology expert Matteo Pasquali and a multidisciplinary team, aiming to create next-generation heat sink architectures for AI, defence and advanced electronics.
The partnership establishes a U.S. advanced materials platform with a fully integrated development pipeline from graphite feedstock qualification through fibre production and textile design to system-level thermal testing. Pure is also engaging with U.S. Department of Energy and Department of Defence funding programs and initiating early discussions with hyperscale, defence and advanced manufacturing end users, positioning the company for potential rerating as part of an AI and defence infrastructure ecosystem.
