Prudential PLC has purchased 1 million of its own shares at prices ranging from GBP 6.4780 to GBP 6.5500 per share, with an average price of GBP 6.5198, in a move to reduce the number of shares in issue and consequently adjust the voting rights to 2,711,955,622. The transaction follows shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting and was conducted through Goldman Sachs International on the London Stock Exchange. The company plans to cancel the acquired shares, further streamlining its capital structure.
