Prudential plc has announced the purchase of 293,616 of its own shares at an average price of £7.2298 per share, with the intent to cancel them, thus reducing the total number of shares in issue and voting rights to 2,747,701,301. The transaction was carried out through Goldman Sachs International on the London Stock Exchange, following shareholder approval at Prudential’s 2024 Annual General Meeting.
