Prudential ( (GB:PRU) ) just unveiled an announcement.

Prudential plc has repurchased 379,780 of its ordinary shares from JP Morgan Securities on 27 March 2026 as part of its ongoing buyback programme approved by shareholders in 2025. The shares, bought on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of £10.4349, will be cancelled, reducing the total number of shares and voting rights in issue to 2,527,726,964.

The transaction, executed as an on-exchange trade in London and treated as an on-market purchase under Hong Kong share buy-back rules, effectively returns capital to shareholders while marginally enhancing earnings per share. The updated share count also provides a new reference denominator for investors assessing disclosure thresholds under UK transparency regulations.

The most recent analyst rating on (GB:PRU) stock is a Buy with a £1450.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Prudential stock, see the GB:PRU Stock Forecast page.
