On November 13, 2025, ProtoKinetix‘s President and CEO, Clarence E. Smith, tragically passed away in an accident. Following his death, the company’s sole remaining director, Ed McDonough, appointed Michael Guzzetta as the new Chairman, President, and CEO on November 16, 2025. Guzzetta, who has been serving as the company’s CFO, will continue in his financial roles while leading the company.
