Prosus ( (NL:PRX) ) has issued an announcement.
Prosus has agreed to sell a 5% stake in German food-delivery group Delivery Hero to investment firm Aspex Management for €22 per share, securing a roughly 10% premium to the latest closing price and about 22% above the 30-day volume-weighted average. The deal, which will raise around €335 million in gross proceeds, follows Prosus’s earlier 4.5% stake sale to Uber and marks another step in reducing its Delivery Hero holding to meet commitments given to the European Commission as part of its acquisition of Just Eat Takeaway.com.
By further trimming its position in Delivery Hero, Prosus continues to rebalance its portfolio while preserving capital that can be redeployed across its broader ecommerce and AI-focused investments. The transaction also underscores ongoing regulatory pressure around competition in Europe’s food-delivery market, with Prosus’s stake reductions aimed at easing concerns over its influence across multiple major delivery platforms.
