Prospex Oil and Gas ( (GB:PXEN) ) has provided an update.
Prospex Energy’s Polish subsidiary PXEN Tatra has been formally offered 100% ownership of the San and Dunajec onshore licence areas in southern Poland, advancing the group’s expansion into a key European gas region. The licences lie in the prolific Carpathian foredeep play, near existing gas production and infrastructure, and include an undeveloped shallow oil discovery at Dunajec that could accelerate first output.
The company expects the administrative award process to conclude by May 2026, with a €289,000 fee to be funded from recent cash raised. Prospex plans to attract farm-in and joint venture partners and apply modern imaging and evaluation techniques to largely underexplored acreage, aiming to unlock new resources, boost production income and strengthen its position in Europe’s energy security-focused gas market.
The most recent analyst rating on (GB:PXEN) stock is a Sell with a £3.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Prospex Oil and Gas stock, see the GB:PXEN Stock Forecast page.

The score is held down primarily by weak financial fundamentals—persistent operating losses and multi-year negative operating/free cash flow—despite a relatively low-debt balance sheet. Technicals also lean negative with the price below key moving averages and a negative MACD, while valuation is pressured by a very high P/E and no reported dividend yield.
