Prodigy Gold NL has announced the discovery of high-grade lithium pegmatite at Reynolds Range, NT, with rock chip samples yielding up to 8.24% Li2O, suggesting a potential new lithium province over a 70km tenement package. The company is set to further explore the extent of lithium-bearing pegmatites in the region after preliminary identification of spodumene as the lithium-bearing mineral. This discovery marks the first known occurrence of a lithium pegmatite in the Reynolds Range and opens up prospects for significant lithium exploration.
