Praj Industries has launched an Advanced Precision Fermentation Lab at its Praj Matrix facility in Pune to drive next-generation industrial biotechnology and support India’s shift toward high-performance, low-carbon biomanufacturing. The one-of-a-kind, AI-enabled lab is designed to boost process efficiency, reduce scale-up risks and enhance reliability across fermentation-based applications.
The new lab will strengthen Praj and its subsidiary Praj HiPurity Systems in delivering advanced fermentation solutions to pharmaceutical, biotech, food, cosmetics, biofuels and beverage industries, reinforcing the company’s role in India’s evolving bioeconomy. Aligned with the government’s BioE3 vision, Praj also signed an MoU with BRIC–NCCS to build an academia–industry model that links microbial discovery and genomics with scalable bioprocessing, including joint research, technology translation and training for PhD scholars.
