Planetree International Development Limited has issued a profit warning, expecting to report a considerable unaudited consolidated loss before tax of approximately HK$51.1 million for the six months ending 30 June 2024, a significant increase from the loss of HK$30.5 million in the comparable period of 2023. The anticipated loss is primarily due to unrealized fair value losses on financial assets and the share of loss from associates. Shareholders and potential investors are urged to exercise caution and await the final interim results due for publication in late August 2024.
