An announcement from Pilot Energy Limited ( (AU:PGY) ) is now available.
Pilot Energy has commissioned and brought into operation the first 1MW module of its Dongara Data Centre at the Cliff Head Plant site in Western Australia, completing mechanical installation, initial 0.4MW computing capacity commissioning, and integration with existing gas-fired power generators on schedule and within budget. The project, substantially funded at this stage by UAE-based partner Kala Data, is intended as the first step in scaling the facility to 4MW in the second half of 2026 via three additional 1MW modules, with operational performance and learnings from the initial unit expected to improve cost and time efficiency and to support Pilot’s broader strategy of monetising existing energy infrastructure and diversifying revenue alongside its clean energy transition ambitions.
