Phoenix Copper Previews Robust Empire Mine Economics

Phoenix Copper (GB:PXC) has released an update.

Phoenix Copper Ltd has announced a promising Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) for its Empire Open-Pit Mine in Idaho, projecting a pre-tax NPV of $87.86 million, an IRR of 46.4%, and a total cash cost of $2.44 per pound of copper equivalent. The study estimates an 8-year mine life with substantial production of copper, gold, and silver, and includes plans for a newly designed flotation circuit for high-grade sulphide ore. The company also reports purchasing pre-owned equipment to reduce capital expenditures, with a focus on optimizing mine and facility operations to improve project economics.
