Persimmon ( (GB:PSN) ) has provided an update.

Persimmon reported a solid start to 2026, with net private sales per outlet per week edging up and private forward sales rising 7% to £1.80bn, supported by a 5% increase in average selling prices and limited use of incentives. Total forward sales climbed to £2.46bn, while outlets, land holdings and planning approvals all increased, underpinning the company’s ambition to grow to at least 300 active outlets.

Management said trading remains resilient despite geopolitical tensions and macroeconomic uncertainty, noting only modest softening in enquiries and early signs of supply-chain cost inflation that are expected to build into 2027. The company is tightening land buying and internal cost control, while its diversified three-brand strategy, strong institutional partnerships and substantial forward order book are expected to support stable completions and sustain its competitive position in the U.K. housing market.

The most recent analyst rating on (GB:PSN) stock is a Buy with a £1390.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Persimmon stock, see the GB:PSN Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on PSN Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, PSN is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by deteriorated cash flow generation (negative 2025 free cash flow) and reduced profitability versus prior peak years, despite a very strong low-leverage balance sheet. Technical indicators are weak (below key moving averages with negative MACD), while a moderate P/E and ~4.7% dividend yield provide partial support.
