Peppermint Innovation Limited ( (AU:PIL) ) just unveiled an update.
Peppermint Innovation has secured a A$2.1 million strategic equity investment from nominees of Philippine payment sector firms Optimal Payments Place Inc. and Tsunami Financial Solutions Inc., deepening its alignment with key local industry players. The deal, priced at A$0.0035 per share with shares voluntarily escrowed for 12 months, further embeds Peppermint’s fully licensed bizmoto digital wallet within the Philippines’ digital payments ecosystem and validates the value of its regulated infrastructure.
The new capital, of which A$1.072 million has already been received, will be used to accelerate transaction growth, merchant acquisition and QRPh-enabled payments, particularly in the fast-growing person-to-merchant segment. Peppermint plans to leverage the partnership to expand access to its electronic payment rails, boost recurring fee income and improve unit economics, strengthening its competitive position and revenue trajectory in its largest addressable market.
