Pearson plc has successfully priced a £350 million social bond with a 5.375% yield, maturing in 2034, to finance educational projects aligned with its Social Bond Framework. The bond will be listed on the London Stock Exchange’s International Securities Market, with the offering set to close on September 12, 2024. Pearson’s CFO highlights the bond as a testament to the company’s commitment to digital and lifelong learning, as well as to strengthening its liquidity for sustainable growth.
