Peak Minerals has announced a significant discovery of high-grade monazite mineral sands at the Minta Est locality of their Minta Rutile Project in Cameroon. The discovery covers an area of 121 km², contributing to a total mineralized footprint of 660 km². This new zone features a high-value mineral assemblage with monazite making up to 73% of the heavy mineral content, which is economically significant due to its high market value. The presence of key magnet rare earths, such as NdPr and DyTb, positions the project as a potential world-class asset, crucial for the global energy transition. The ongoing exploration program aims to systematically test a broader area of 3,500 km², with further results expected in the coming months.
