PAMT ( (PAMT) ) has shared an announcement.

PAMT Corp reported on May 1, 2026 that first-quarter 2026 operating revenue fell 8.7% year on year to $141.9 million, with an operating loss of $0.3 million and a essentially breakeven net loss of $0.01 million, or $0.00 per share. Results were heavily supported by a one-time $12.7 million gain on the sale of real estate in Laredo, Texas, which produced an after-tax benefit of about $9.7 million and sharply narrowed the loss from the $8.1 million recorded a year earlier, even as the company used $2.7 million in operating cash flow and carried $320.7 million of debt against $210.4 million of equity and $141.1 million in liquidity.

The company also disclosed that, as of March 31, 2026, it had reduced outstanding debt by $13.2 million since year-end 2025 and maintained 472,845 shares available under a stock repurchase authorization of up to 500,000 shares. Management announced plans on May 1, 2026 to more actively execute buybacks during the second quarter of 2026 using existing liquidity and free cash flow, a move that could provide incremental support to the share price and signal confidence despite softer revenues and thin operating margins.

Spark’s Take on PAMT Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, PAMT is a Neutral.

The score is primarily held down by weak financial performance—ongoing losses with severe margin compression, shrinking revenue, deteriorating cash generation and negative free cash flow, alongside rising leverage. Valuation is difficult to interpret due to a negative P/E and missing dividend yield, and technical indicators were not provided to offset the fundamental weakness.
