In the first quarter of 2025, PACCAR Inc reported solid financial performance with notable achievements in its parts division, despite facing challenges in the truck market and a significant charge related to civil litigation in Europe.
The company recorded quarterly revenues of $7.44 billion, a decrease from $8.74 billion in the same period last year. Net income was reported at $505.1 million, affected by a $264.5 million after-tax charge due to European civil litigation. Excluding this charge, adjusted net income stood at $769.6 million. PACCAR Parts achieved record revenues of $1.69 billion, and PACCAR Financial Services reported a 6% increase in pretax income.
PACCAR continues to invest heavily in technology and infrastructure, with $171.9 million allocated to capital projects and $115.4 million to research and development in the first quarter.
