Osmosun, in collaboration with Impact Water Solutions, has achieved a significant milestone by producing 10 million m3 of fresh water using their solar-powered desalination unit near Lake Goubet, Djibouti. This project, which operates without batteries and significantly reduces carbon emissions, provides free drinking water to over a thousand people and creates jobs, showcasing a successful model for sustainable water solutions in arid regions. Osmosun and IWS plan to expand similar initiatives across sub-Saharan Africa, emphasizing carbon-free and sustainable access to water.
