Orsted ( (DOGEF) ) has provided an update.
Ørsted has announced a rights issue to raise DKK 60 billion, supported by the Danish State, to strengthen its capital structure amid adverse developments in the US offshore wind market. The move is intended to provide financial flexibility for Ørsted’s 8.1 GW offshore wind construction portfolio and reinforce its position as a global leader in offshore wind. The rights issue will allow existing shareholders to maintain their ownership stakes, with any unsubscribed shares underwritten by Morgan Stanley. Ørsted aims to use the proceeds to cover funding requirements for the Sunrise Wind project and enhance its investment opportunities in core markets.
