Oriole Resources PLC ( (GB:ORR) ) has issued an update.
Oriole Resources reported strong exploration progress in 2025, led by drilling at its Bibemi and Mbe gold projects in Cameroon that lifted gross JORC-compliant resources from 530,000 ounces to 1.485 million ounces, a rise of about 180 percent. At Bibemi’s Bakassi Zone 1, a Phase 5 drilling campaign increased the maiden mineral resource to 460,000 ounces at 2.06 grams per tonne and added an Exploration Target of up to 400,000 ounces across nearby prospects, while metallurgical test work and a preliminary economic assessment advanced the project toward an exploitation licence.
At Mbe, maiden drilling at the MB01-S and MB01-N targets delivered notable high-grade intersections and underpinned new inferred resources totaling 1.23 million ounces, surpassing the 1 million ounce threshold often seen as a key industry milestone. Exploration across the wider Eastern Central Licence Package returned encouraging rock-chip results, and earn-in agreements with BCM were completed at both Bibemi and Mbe, giving BCM 50 percent interests while helping fund £2.14 million of exploration and leaving Oriole with £2.50 million in year-end cash despite a modest annual loss.
