Origin Bancorp ( (OBK) ) has issued an update.
Origin Bancorp reported first-quarter 2026 net income of $27.7 million, or $0.89 per diluted share, down from $29.5 million, or $0.95 per diluted share, in the fourth quarter of 2025, while pre-tax, pre-provision earnings held essentially flat at $40.2 million. Net interest income reached a record $87.2 million as net interest spread improved and loans and deposits expanded, but annualized ROAA slipped to 1.11%, and credit metrics showed modest increases in past-due and nonperforming loans.
The bank’s Optimize Origin efficiency and balance sheet initiative, launched in January 2025, continued to underpin a strategy aimed at delivering top-quartile returns, with management reaffirming a near-term ROAA run-rate target of at least 1.15% by the fourth quarter of 2026. Reflecting confidence in balance sheet strength and earnings durability, the board in April 2026 approved a 67% increase in the quarterly common dividend to $0.25 per share and the company repurchased 165,500 shares during the quarter, actions that signal an ongoing commitment to shareholder returns despite a slightly lower earnings run rate.
The most recent analyst rating on (OBK) stock is a Buy with a $48.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Origin Bancorp stock, see the OBK Stock Forecast page.
