Orestone Mining has completed Phase I surface exploration at its Francisca Gold Project in Salta Province, Argentina, outlining a substantial oxide gold stockwork system across North and South zones over a 1,100-metre northwest-trending corridor. Geological mapping indicates multiple strongly altered and mineralized stockwork zones hosted in porphyry and hornfels, with a significant IP anomaly at the South zone suggesting potential for a larger intrusive body at depth.
The program collected 675 rock chip and channel samples under strict QA/QC protocols, which are being analyzed for gold and multi-elements at an accredited Argentine laboratory. With surface work now finished, Orestone is preparing for drilling as it targets definition of an open-pittable oxide gold deposit, a step that could materially advance the Francisca project and strengthen the company’s position in a region hosting several large-scale copper, gold and lithium developments.
