Orcadian Energy Plc has been offered a further licence in the Southern North Sea, complementing two Central North Sea licences previously awarded, marking a significant expansion of their operations. The new licence includes the Earlham gas discovery and the promising Clover gas prospect, with potential for near-zero emissions electricity supply through an innovative gas-to-wire scheme with integrated carbon capture. The company’s CEO heralds this development as a major step towards securing energy supply with minimal environmental impact, aligning with the UK’s Net Zero ambitions.
