Orbital Corporation Ltd has successfully established a production line to supply new 150cc heavy fuel engines for Textron Systems, supporting the Future Tactical Uncrewed Aircraft System (FTUAS) for the US Armed Forces. The company has begun low-rate initial production, with the first engine deliveries expected within the current financial year. Orbital UAV’s technology will play a pivotal role in the FTUAS program, which aims to enhance the capabilities of US Army brigade combat teams with advanced, autonomous aircraft equipped with modern sensors and datalinks.
