Onward Holdings Co., Ltd. has decided to acquire the remaining shares of WEGO Co., Ltd., turning it into a wholly owned subsidiary. Previously holding a 20.27% stake, Onward aims to rejuvenate WEGO’s business, expecting profitability in fiscal 2024 after five years of losses. The acquisition is part of Onward’s strategy to invest in digital transformation and human capital to increase WEGO’s corporate value.
