Omineca Mining and Metals Ltd. has commenced the processing of gold-bearing gravels at their Wingdam Paleoplacer Project, yielding 10.25 ounces of high-purity gold from the initial excavation. The mining operation is advancing towards the channel’s center where the highest gold grades are anticipated, with recovery methods proving effective in the dewatered paleochannel. The company highlights the rising gold prices in Canada, which have nearly doubled since the inception of the Wingdam Joint Venture.
