An update from Office Properties Income Trust ( (OPITQ) ) is now available.
Office Properties Income Trust and its debtor affiliates, which filed voluntary Chapter 11 petitions on October 30, 2025, reported that they continue to run their operations as debtors-in-possession while submitting unaudited Monthly Operating Reports for the period from March 1 to March 30, 2026. The company cautioned that these reports, prepared solely to meet bankruptcy disclosure requirements and not in accordance with U.S. GAAP, are limited in scope, subject to revision, and may not reflect its full financial position or be suitable for investment analysis.
The company also disclosed that, pursuant to an earlier bankruptcy court order, it entered an amended and restated secured debtor-in-possession term loan agreement on February 5, 2026, providing up to $125 million in financing to support operations during the restructuring. The maturity of this DIP facility, originally set for May 4, 2026, was extended by consenting holders of its 9.000% senior secured notes due 2029 to May 31, 2026, helping shore up near-term liquidity as the Chapter 11 process continues.
Spark’s Take on OPITQ Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, OPITQ is a Underperform.
The score is driven down primarily by weak financial performance (declining revenue, losses, and high leverage) and severe bankruptcy-related corporate risk that could result in equity cancellation. Technicals are also weak (negative MACD and price below key long-term averages), while valuation signals are distorted by negative earnings and an extreme yield that appears consistent with distress.
