Octava Minerals Ltd. ( (AU:OCT) ) has shared an update.
Octava Minerals has completed the first drilling campaign in nearly 50 years at its Federation Project in western Tasmania, targeting the Sweeney’s and Anomaly 1 polymetallic prospects. The program comprised eight diamond drill holes totalling 1,460.9 metres, with assays received for six holes so far.
The initial results returned significant mineralised intercepts, including copper, indium, silver, tin, antimony, lead and zinc, and confirmed both near-surface vein-hosted and deeper feeder-style sulphide mineralisation. The company also reported the discovery of a new antimony-zinc lode open in all directions, and says the early drilling covers only a small portion of the landholding but has materially improved its geological understanding, setting up further exploration and potential resource growth.
