OceanaGold ( (TSE:OGC) ) has issued an announcement.

OceanaGold Corporation has published its 2025 Sustainability Report for the year ended December 31, 2025, detailing performance across safety, health, people and culture, community, environment, tailings management, and climate. The Vancouver-based miner also issued its first mandatory IFRS S2 climate-related disclosure, expanding transparency on climate governance, strategy, risk management, and targets.

In 2025, OceanaGold reported no workplace fatalities or life-altering injuries and achieved a 36% reduction in its Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate compared with 2024. The company maintained its MSCI “AA” ESG rating for a third consecutive year, underscoring its positioning among higher-rated mining peers on environmental, social, and governance performance.

The company highlighted a 38% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions over the last three years, supported in part by sourcing the equivalent of 100% renewable energy through renewable energy certificates, and averaged 60% water reuse or recycling across operating sites. It also updated water performance standards and site water management plans, reflecting efforts to tighten environmental risk controls as regulators and investors increase scrutiny of resource-sector impacts.

OceanaGold said it spent $110 million with nearly 800 local suppliers and contributed $10 million to community projects in 2025, emphasizing its role in supporting local economies around its mines. These figures reinforce its social license to operate in the U.S., New Zealand, and the Philippines, where community relations and local economic benefits are central to long-term project stability.

Effective April 1, 2026, the company appointed long-time executive David Bickerton as Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer, elevating sustainability leadership to a senior executive level. Bickerton’s appointment, following an internal career that includes serving as Asset President of the Didipio Mine, signals OceanaGold’s intent to embed climate and ESG priorities more deeply into core operational and strategic decision-making.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:OGC) stock is a Buy with a C$78.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on OceanaGold stock, see the TSE:OGC Stock Forecast page.
