Nippon Telegraph and Telephone ( (JP:9432) ) just unveiled an update.

NTT has partially revised its Medium-Term Management Strategy, resetting its financial targets to aim for consolidated EBITDA of 4 trillion yen and ROIC of 5.5% by fiscal 2030, excluding financial businesses. The company plans to broaden value-added growth areas by expanding AI-related services for domestic corporate clients, scaling overseas operations centered on data centers, and deepening personal finance offerings, while transitioning its connectivity business to AI-native AIOWN infrastructure optimized for GPUs, networks, and power.

Management said the revision reflects a more competitive environment and rising traffic, prompting a balance between aggressive growth investment and maintaining a stable financial base. In line with the strategy update, NTT will revise its performance-linked stock compensation for directors and officers and adjust executive bonus KPIs for fiscal 2026, tying a larger share of incentives to EBITDA, EPS, ROIC, capital expenditures, and sustainability metrics such as customer and employee engagement, greenhouse gas emissions, and promotion of female managers.
