Northwest Copper ( (TSE:NWST) ) has issued an update.
NorthWest Copper reported new drill results from hole K-25-287 at its 100%-owned Kwanika copper-gold project in British Columbia, delivering a significant near-surface intercept of 25.9 metres grading 0.91% copper and 1.29 g/t gold (2.09% CuEq) as part of a broader set of high-grade intervals in both the Pit and Central Zones. The hole extended and better defined multiple higher-grade zones, including substantial widths in Pit Zones 10, 11 and a 32-metre mineralized interval in the Central Zone, improving the company’s understanding of structurally controlled mineralization and supporting expectations for higher-grade open-pit resources and enhanced underground mining scenarios. Management indicated that the completed 2025 drill program at Kwanika has exceeded expectations in demonstrating continuity of higher-grade mineralization and, together with ongoing metallurgical work, is expected to underpin a mineral resource update in early 2026 and a more capital-efficient, economically stronger preliminary economic assessment later that year, potentially enhancing the project’s development prospects for stakeholders.
