An announcement from Northern Shield Resources ( (TSE:NRN) ) is now available.
Northern Shield Resources has reported high-grade lead, zinc and copper values from grab rock samples at the Creston Copper Target on its Root & Cellar property in southeastern Newfoundland. The samples, taken from a diatreme breccia zone exposed by quarrying, returned up to 3.9% lead, 4.0% zinc and 2.0% copper with anomalous silver and tellurium, representing the highest lead-zinc values found on the property to date.
The company said the metal zonation pattern, including lead-zinc mineralization at surface and molybdenum-rich breccia, supports the presence of a large, vertically extensive porphyry copper system with a higher-grade copper core at depth. A 3D induced polarization geophysical survey over the Creston target has been contracted to start in late April, marking a key step toward refining drill targets and potentially advancing Root & Cellar’s status as a significant polymetallic discovery.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:NRN) stock is a Hold with a C$0.08 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Northern Shield Resources stock, see the TSE:NRN Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on NRN Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, NRN is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by weak financial performance (no revenue, persistent losses, and renewed cash burn). Offsetting factors include favorable technical momentum (price above major moving averages with positive MACD) and supportive corporate events (successful/upsized financings and positive drilling updates), while valuation remains unattractive due to negative earnings and no dividend.
