Nobel Resources Corp ( (TSE:NBLC) ) just unveiled an update.
Nobel Resources has identified a new mineralized porphyry copper system at its Cuprita project in northern Chile, based on early results from the first-ever diamond drill program on the property. The fourth hole, CUP004, intersected more than 100 meters of copper-bearing porphyry and a sulfide-rich interval with strong alteration, suggesting a transition into a mineralized domain beneath an extensive lithocap.
Portable XRF readings in CUP004 show localized high copper values, including up to 2.9% copper in chrysocolla-bearing veinlets, although full laboratory assays are still pending. The drilling is targeting a large lithocap-defined structural corridor interpreted to overlie a significant porphyry system, and a follow-up step-out hole CUP005 is now being collared to further test the chargeability anomaly and refine the scale of the discovery.
