The move follows an agreement with Australia’s Eagle Mountain Mining to participate in the Oracle Ridge copper exploration project, and will elevate both Nittetsu Mining USA and Wedgetail Operations to specified subsidiary status, signaling a strategic push into North American copper assets and potentially strengthening the group’s overseas resource portfolio.

By consolidating control over the Oracle Ridge project company, Nittetsu aims to centralize management, operation and oversight of its U.S. copper ventures under Nittetsu Mining USA, which was only established in March 2026.
