iCollege Ltd. ( (AU:NXD) ) just unveiled an update.
NextEd Group Limited has announced that long-serving non-executive director William Deane will retire from its board on 30 April 2026, ending a 15-year tenure that began with the co-founding of predecessor RedHill Education and its subsequent IPO. During his time on the board, Deane oversaw the company’s expansion from a single campus with 100 students to a major private education provider serving more than 20,000 students across eight campuses and 12 international recruitment offices.
The board credited Deane with playing a key role in rebuilding NextEd’s leadership team, securing the International House student cohort, and strengthening the group during a period of significant disruption in the education sector. Following his departure, the board will comprise chair Sandra Hook, Simon Tolhurst, Angus Johnson, and Jack Campbell, with Campbell taking over as chair of the audit and risk committee while the company begins a search for an additional independent non-executive director to further bolster its governance and expertise.
