NEXON Co., Ltd. is a leading company in the online gaming industry, primarily engaged in the production, development, and distribution of PC online games and mobile games. The company is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and operates globally, with a strong presence in Japan, South Korea, China, and North America.

In its latest earnings report for the six months ended June 30, 2025, NEXON reported a slight increase in revenue, reaching ¥232,784 million, up 0.8% year-over-year. The company also saw an increase in operating profit by 6.6% to ¥79,309 million, although profit before tax and profit attributable to owners of the parent decreased significantly by 41.6% and 43.2%, respectively.

Key highlights include the revitalized momentum in key titles such as Dungeon & Fighter and MapleStory, as well as contributions from new launches like MABINOGI MOBILE and The First Berserker: Khazan. Despite a decrease in revenue from Dungeon & Fighter’s franchise compared to the previous year’s mobile launch in China, the PC version showed growth. MapleStory’s franchise revenue also grew, driven by strong performance in Korea and regional expansion of MapleStory Worlds.

Looking ahead, NEXON anticipates challenges due to economic uncertainties and trade policy impacts. However, the company remains focused on its IP Growth Initiative, aiming to create vertical growth by revitalizing established blockbusters and developing new games. The management expects double-digit growth from key titles and strong performances from new launches, although overall revenue is expected to decrease year-over-year for the nine months ending September 30, 2025.

NEXON’s management remains cautiously optimistic about the future, focusing on strategic expansions and content updates to drive growth. The company is prepared to navigate potential market fluctuations and remains committed to delivering engaging gaming experiences to its global audience.
