News Corporation Shs B Chess Depository Interests repr 1 Sh ( (AU:NWS) ) has shared an update.

News Corporation has outlined details of a previously authorised 2025 share repurchase program covering its Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B common stock, with capacity to buy back up to an aggregate of US$1 billion. The company says it plans to execute the buybacks from time to time in the open market or otherwise, subject to market conditions and stock price, and confirms that no ASX-listed CHESS Depository Interests will be repurchased under this program.

The filing notes that 141,138,786 Class B shares are currently on issue, and the program is structured as an “other” buy-back given the company’s non-Australian incorporation. By concentrating repurchases in its U.S.-listed stock and excluding ASX CDIs, News Corp is fine-tuning its capital management while leaving the structure of its Australian-listed instruments unchanged, a move that may influence liquidity and shareholder value dynamics primarily in its U.S. market.

The most recent analyst rating on (AU:NWS) stock is a Buy with a A$50.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on News Corporation Shs B Chess Depository Interests repr 1 Sh stock, see the AU:NWS Stock Forecast page.
