NCC AB ( ($SE:NCC.B) ) just unveiled an update.
NCC has secured a contract from water utility Norrvatten for the initial earth and groundworks of a new waterworks in Järfälla, north of Stockholm, a facility designed to bolster drinking water capacity for 14 municipalities. The order is valued at approximately SEK 500 million, with SEK 140 million already booked in 2025 and SEK 360 million to be recognized in the Infrastructure business area in the first quarter of 2026.
The project, executed in a partnering model, moves from planning and design into the production phase for the first two of 16 stages, with construction set to start in the spring and finish in summer 2027. Located in a protected drinking water zone, adjacent to the existing Görväln waterworks, the build involves technically demanding requirements for security, hygiene, and production planning to maintain uninterrupted water supply, underscoring NCC’s specialized capabilities in critical civil engineering and water treatment infrastructure.
