NCC AB ( ($SE:NCC.B) ) has issued an announcement.
NCC AB has secured a SEK 480 million contract from Senatfastigheter to completely refurbish and remodel the historic main building of Finland’s National Archives in Helsinki. The project, carried out in partnering form with the Finnish Heritage Agency, will adapt the premises to the current and future needs of the National Archives, the Finnish National Agency for Education and the Research Council of Finland.
Covering roughly 18,500 square meters, the refurbishment includes new technical installations, facades, roofs and courtyards, alongside conservation work on historically significant interiors. The assignment, to be booked in NCC Building Nordics in the second quarter of 2026, reinforces NCC’s position in high‑complexity heritage projects and underscores a strategic focus on low‑carbon construction and circular economy principles, with work scheduled from spring 2026 to late 2028.
