NCC AB ( ($SE:NCC.B) ) has provided an announcement.
NCC has secured a contract from Chalmers Student Housing to build the Nya Holtermanska student and researcher housing complex next to Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, adding three residential buildings with 386 apartments and space for a café, restaurant and offices. The project, designed to accommodate nearly 500 students and certified to Miljöbyggnad Gold, is seen by the client as a key contribution to a more vibrant campus and was awarded to NCC for its reliability and professional capability.
The scheme will be among the first in Sweden to comply with new national building regulations and eased rules for student housing that came into force in mid-2025, positioning NCC at the forefront of adapting to the updated regulatory framework. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2026 and finish in 2028, and the contract will be booked in the NCC Building Sweden business area in the first quarter of 2026, underpinning NCC’s pipeline in urban residential development and its presence in central Gothenburg.
