An announcement from Native Mineral Resources Holdings Ltd. ( (AU:NMR) ) is now available.
Native Mineral Resources has restarted mining at its Blackjack South open pit in Queensland, delivering fresh ore to the run-of-mine pad and aiming to improve plant feed grades and gold output after a pause since October 2025. The company plans to bring the nearby Podosky deposit into production in late April 2026, while ongoing drilling at Far Fanning is expected to inform a new mine design for a targeted 2027 start, supporting a multi-deposit mining pipeline.
Since mid-2025 the Blackjack plant has milled about 153,000 tonnes of ore and produced roughly 2,400 ounces of gold, with recoveries of 94–96% and strong mill utilisation, though grades have been constrained by reliance on lower-grade stockpiles. NMR is simultaneously advancing sterilisation drilling, tailings and water infrastructure, and broader project development across its Charters Towers assets to underpin long-term operational performance and capacity expansion.
