Mundys Deepens Strategic Stake in Getlink Without Seeking Control

Getlink SE ( (FR:GET) ) has provided an announcement.

Mundys has strengthened its strategic position in Getlink by acquiring an additional 3.5% stake, lifting its holding to 19.0% of the share capital and up to 24.9% of voting rights, and securing the option to raise its interest to 25.0% and a maximum of 29.9% of voting rights subject to regulatory clearance expected by April 2026. The move underscores Mundys’ long-term commitment to Getlink and its broader strategy of deepening infrastructure investments in France, though the group emphasized it does not intend to seek control or additional board seats, signaling a supportive but non-controlling stance toward the company’s governance and strategic direction.

Mundys’ enlarged stake further consolidates its role as one of Getlink’s main shareholders and reflects France’s importance as Mundys’ largest market, where it already manages major motorway concessions and the Nice airport platform and has invested about €11 billion in infrastructure. The transaction, framed within Mundys’ sustainability-focused strategy and climate neutrality target by 2040, is likely to reinforce Getlink’s shareholder base and could enhance financial and strategic backing for its long-term development while maintaining regulatory-compliant voting thresholds in the French market.
