Orkla India’s MTR brand has relaunched its flagship cultural and culinary festival, Karunadu Swada 2026, at Bengaluru’s Jayamahal Palace, spotlighting Karnataka’s regional food traditions and indigenous ingredients. Curated with home cooks and culinary experts, the event spans six key regions of the state, offering more than 75 dishes and reviving lesser-known recipes through a ‘One Region, One Unique Ingredient, One Forgotten Recipe’ concept.
The festival also saw the release of MTR’s second coffee table book, “The story before the recipe,” and the live debut of a specially composed ‘Sambar Song’ by musician Vasu Dixit, tying culinary nostalgia to cultural performance. With expectations of over 3,000 visitors across two days and a packed programme of folk and classical arts, the event reinforces MTR’s positioning as a custodian of Karnataka’s food culture and strengthens its brand engagement with consumers through experiential marketing.
