MTM Critical Metals Ltd. reports a breakthrough in metal recovery technology with their Flash Joule Heating (FJH) prototype, enhancing the recovery of rare earth elements and critical metals from coal fly ash by over 50%. The new method, which also reduces the acid needed for leaching, indicates potential cost savings and environmental benefits. The company plans to extend testing to other waste sources, such as e-waste and lithium-ion batteries, aiming to improve the efficiency and economics of critical metal recovery.
